Swensen & Goluses Duo

The Swensen & Goluses Duo is made up of two of the most accomplished and sought after artists today!

Going strictly in alphabetical order, Nicholas Goluses is not just a guitarist, he is an absolute guitar virtuoso, who has given master classes around the world. When he is not teaching guitar at the famed Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, he is either on tour with Bonita Boyd (flute) or he has a busy solo concert schedule. The well known American composer Bill Dobbins wrote a special concert for Mr. Goluses, which saw its world premiere with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Christopher Seeman conducting, in November of 2005. Almost all bona fide classical guitarists instantly recognize Mr. Goluses’ name, a name which is associated with guitar playing mastery. He has performed as a most sought after concert soloist with the Colorado Springs Symphony, the Rochester Philharmonic, Manhattan Symphony, New Jersey Symphony and at major festivals around the world.

Tenor Robert Swensen has performed with some of the most revered opera companies including those of Stuttgart, Teatro La Fenice - Venice, Bayreuth, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, the Berlin State Opera, the Vienna State Opera, the Opéra Comique - Paris, and the Grande Théâtre - Geneva. As well, he has performed with the Wexford Opera Festival in Ireland, the Teatro Regio in Turin, the Flemish Opera in Antwerp, Belgium, the Bavarian State Radio Orchestra, Santa Fe Opera, and Opera Pacific in Southern California.

Elsewhere he has appeared in concert at the Lincoln Center in New York, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, with the Cologne Symphony Orchestra, the Dresden Symphony Orchestra, the Leipzig Symphony Orchestra, and at Carnegie Hall.

As a Duo, these two astonishing artists bring their audiences selections from their extensive song repertoire based on compositions by B. Britten, W. Walton, D. Argento, H. Berlioz, J. Rodrigo, M. Seiber, Manuel De Falla, and others.
